The Society of Hospital Medicine and colleagues gathered from around the country at Hospital Medicine 2017 (HM17), on May 1-4, 2017 at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Early Career Academic Hospitalist Speed Mentoring Session – Monday, May 2, 2017 from Noon-1:00 p.m. Early-career academic hospitalists who enroll in this activity will receive personalized mentorship from up to three senior faculty members during this special session. The first 25 participants will be accepted.

Research and Clinical Innovations (RIV) Scientific Poster Competition showcasing emerging science, innovative approaches to care and novel clinical cases. Plenary and oral presenters are chosen from the submissions and invited to present onsite at HM17.

The competition includes a Trainee Award category for resident and student authors to achieve further recognition for their work within each category.
